Ivan Shapovalov

Music Director & Piano Teacher

Available at: Pico Rivera Studio · La Mirada Studio · Online

Why should music be considered a luxury when it’s such an essential part of being human? We never question the importance of math or other traditional school subjects, yet music education is so often overlooked or treated as something exclusive. It shouldn’t be. Music is just as important to our development, and in some ways, perhaps even more so. Just ask neuroscientists, psychologists, or therapists about its impact on the mind and well-being. Music is not a luxury. The world wouldn’t be the same without music. After all, can you imagine a world without it?
